This page is the index for all of the Ursonate themes. There is one image for each of Schwitters' phonetic themes. First they were drawn in pencil, then they were drawn again using thin rapidograph ink cross hatching. The prints were produced on a XEROX 3060 large format electrostatic transfer machine, printed on translucent mylar. These images were also reproduced on paper and then were cut and collaged together using the visualization scores created by Ox from the handscores. You can also read about Ox' process.
The images come from Schwitters' installations and also landscapes in Norway and the Lake District in Northern England where he spent a lot of time and ultimately died. They are ordered on this page in the order in which they appear in the Ursonate, with the pencil version first, followed by the print version.
